Pencil Book Quest is a solo, pencil-and-paper adventure designed to be played anywhere. With 80 levels packed into its pages, you’ll battle monsters, collect loot, and complete quests in a compact book that easily slips into a pocket or bag.
It’s the spiritual successor to our original game, Pocket Book Adventures, retaining the portability and charm of the original while introducing new puzzle types and expanded gameplay.
Puzzle-Based Movement
Puzzle-Based Movement
Each turn, choose a direction and move four spaces in a straight line (unless you hit something).
It sounds simple, but that one rule turns every map into a puzzle: how to fight smart, grab loot, and reach the chest before realizing you expertly blocked yourself from it three turns ago.

And that four-space rule is just the beginning. As you travel, new regions will bend it, break it, or ignore it altogether.

Point & Write Combat
In this game, you don’t roll dice, you aim. Place your pencil on the dot above the enemy, close your eyes (or look away), and try to hit the target. Where you land determines how much damage you take and whether you trigger the enemy’s special ability.
Combat is quick, tactile, and just weird enough to blur the line between skill and luck.

Boss Battles
Bosses aren’t just stronger enemies, they’re totally unique encounters with their own rules and win conditions. Some are puzzles, some are brawls, some are both.
Towns & Mini-Games
Not every page is a map. Along your journey, you’ll come across towns where you can spend your hard-earned money on items, weapons, and even mini games!
